HOW WE GOT STARTED WITH VEXUS

HOW TO PLAY BASE GAME

What is Vexus?

Vexus is a fast-paced tabletop game of fate, strategy, and negotiation. Players compete to collect Gems, survive Boss encounters, and master the balance between risk and reward. The Base Game features three core decks—Boss, Shop, and Resource—while five optional expansions (Trinkets, Luxury, Disrupt, Gadgets, and Arenas) add new dimensions of strategy, introducing everything from chaotic power-ups to environmental shifts that change the rules each turn.

Exceptionally modular, any game of Vexus can be simple with Base Game or add any number of expansions to tailor the experience, allowing players to enjoy incredible depth. This game has no theoretical limit in deck count or player count, but typical games are 2-6 people and typical decks in play at any given time are 5-8.

Every round of Vexus tells a different story—of bold gambles, clever trades, and perfectly timed plays. Whether you’re playing with family, testing strategy with friends, or chasing mastery, one truth remains: Master Fate, Rule Vexus.

What’s Next for Vexus?

Vexus presently has a five-year release schedule with an additional 16 expansions currently being play tested, including Teams play, Generational follow up decks from the initial launch, holiday expansions, and more. We’re anticipating a six month period for players to become familiar with Base Game and the rest of the Core 8 decks. From there, we expect to release a new exciting expansion every 3 months.

Beyond that, expected in late 2027, Vexus will introduce a Masters format, with unique identity Master decks that the player may personally customize and use in play. This will have pre-made starter decks as well as trading card booster packs available.

Expected in 2029, we’re aiming to launch the Vexus app, currently being designed. The app will have a campaign, collector system, ranked play, group play, custom play, and a Masters format for advanced play.

Vexus Philosophy:

Every deck is meant to have a certain tone/flavor, entirely optional and additive to the experience besides Base Game.

Every card is meant to be simple in design, yet flexible in its use under the right conditions.

Every turn should be easy to understand, and players should be able to leave and come back, looking at the board and able to tell exactly what is going on.

Power should equal rarity. Big moments in the game will come from rare pulls, rare rolls, big strategic combos, or some combination thereof.

There is no one right way to play/win, but strategies are developed on the fly and repeatable.

Every deck could win on its own, but players who compose the symphony of decks should win the fastest.

Card rarity should always be a known factor, whether within the game itself or as the owner of a rare card copy.

Anyone can win the game at any time, but the skilled will win the most.

First 100 Core 8 Bundle Orders Special Offer!

UPDATE 10/21/2025: This deck has been opened and our video of the opening can be found on Facebook and Instagram @vexusworldgames! This promotion launched alongside all expansions and Base Game and will run until the first 100 Bundles are grabbed up!

Promotion Announcement 10/01/2025: The first 100 orders of the Core 8 Bundle will each receive a sealed Pre-Print Edition Arena card signed by the game creator, along with a handwritten Thank You. The other deck will remain unopened and saved at Vexus World Games headquarters indefinitely. All cards in the Arenas deck consist of 5 or fewer copies each, with a one-of-one Promised Land Arena as the most prized collector's item.

More than a special collector's item, Vexus World Games, inc. extends a standing offer to exchange a full Vexus World Games Base Game plus  EACH of the then-current expansions in exchange for this one-of-one Promised Land copy, to be redeemed at any time.

These Arenas are distinctive only in that they have smaller text than standard Arenas, a few cards with verbiage that got tweaked, and they're missing some of our official markings and inaugural edition text. What makes this deck remarkable, however, is its place in Vexus history as the first Arena print ever made.

For the player that obtains the 1/1 Promised Land Arena, we ask that you reach out to us at info@vexusworldgames.com. We'd love to connect (even if you don't want to sell)!
